The Best!
Was at Anthony's for the first time a few weeks ago. Was very impressed with the welcoming to the service and best of all the food. I would definately go back - so hopefully they will be in the new complex!

Disappointed
We went out of our way to dine at Anthony's Pier 4 because we had such an excellent meal several years ago. The location, service, and ambiance are the same as before but the food was a disappointment, especially at the price. I would not go back. Even the traditional popovers were no good -- soft and doughy and not what a popover should be. I've had better caesar salads (they call it Glover Salad there) and much better salmon at a NJ restaurant at much less cost. The lobster bisque was just ok, nothing special, and not much lobster in it. The lobster casserole was heavy on corn and not good. The rice was no better than what I've had in a diner, bland and boring. I will not go back. There are plenty of other good seafood restaurants in the area.

The old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be, many long years ago.
Great location--that's about it. The rest is sub par and disappointing. Wonderful menu offerings are simply incompetently prepared. They don't seem to care anymore about what once was Boston's dining capitol. It's a darn shame. They won't be there much longer anyway due to development.

The worst greeting when you walk in the door
Our company travels all over and we get a chance to dine at tons of restaurants. We had a large party of about 30 people, 10 came to hold the table, the rest followed 10 minutes later. The first party was told they had to take the table and could not wait, when we arrived we were rudley told that we were not able to sit with our party and he would not make his waiter take on another group. The waiter couldnt answer my question on the two types of fish, he had to go ask everytime we had a question. The old looking slave maid outfits that the ladies were wearing probably explained why the service was the way it was. Nope never will I tell anyone who come to visit Boston to eat there. The food is way over rated. Lobster casserole i ordered was cooked too long, so it was chewy with soggy noodles.
