    Keep Trying

Randomly dropped in while wandering in Brookline whilst on a business trip. I recommend the manager pay some attention to the service personnel interfacing directly with customers. Seems they are all distracted and/or wish to be elsewhere. The burger and salad I ordered came late and were quite bland.

    Not impressed

So besides the beer selection there is not much I liked about this place. I asked to sit outside with my two friends, we waited about 10 minutes for seats while we had a beer inside. The bartender was great, as was the beer selection, and we were able to sample some beers before deciding. The hostess was abrupt and seemed like she had an attitude problem. Not very welcoming or friendly. They then proceeded to sit the three of us at the smallest picnic table outside which resulted in two of us having to straddle the legs of the table for the entire meal - not exactly comfortable. I watched them then seat a family of 4, including 2 men over 6ft tall at the same table - more cozy than they would have liked by the looks on their faces. When i looked around there was a couple sitting at a picnic table big enough for 6 people...obviously they werent paying attention to how they were seating people. The chive fries with the blue cheese were ok, nothing special since the blue cheese fondu dip was blan and lacking flavor. My friend ordered the market salad, and said it was the most tasteless salad she had ever had even with the salad dressing on it. My other friend got the cod sandwich and she said there was so much bread it dominated the sandwich and again, no flavor. I got the caesar salad, it was fine, kind of difficult to mess that up. We certainly arent food critics by any means, we are actually very easily pleased by food in general, but for the amount of money they think they can charge because they are in brookline, the food certainly was not worth it. In addition, we had to ask for an extra plate setting and had to ask the waiter to take away the plates so we could have room to actually eat at our little table. It looked like the place was being run by people in college who didnt really know what they were doing. I wont be going back there for food, but it is a good spot for some beer.

    Best Burger!

I already knew that the ever changing craft beer menu was amazing but tonight I had a burger with truffle butter and spinach. OMG it was amazing! The hardest part of the night was picking the burger toppings. I'm definitely putting this on my top 5 list for places to eat!

Great new addition to Washington Sq!

Superb artisanal food and drinks featuring an incredible draft and beer bottles list, excellent price points on a more than adequate wine list, unique all American spirits list featuring some excellent local distillers, and unbelieveably fabulous food from classic American comfort to modern interpretations of old favorites. American Craft is sure to be a huge hit!
