Service is bad to the bone
The waitresses weren't mean, but goodness did it take us forever to order and get our food. We went there for a quick lunch. There were only three of us, so it wasn't like a giant group. We finally finished eating two hours later and trust me it wasn't because we are slow eaters. We were STARVING by the time our food arrived. The food was good, but kind of overpriced. I won't be coming here again.....

Great place for a coffee and coze.
The restaurant is ornately beautiful and cozy, it's open very late, and it's a great place to have a long, leisurely meal and chat. The food is very good, if a bit expensive, the coffee, especially the Mocha Arabica, was lovely, and the besbousa, a type of cake, was heavenly, if you like very, very sweet things. Possibly the only this that could make Algiers better is if they were a certified green restaurant, so that I could know I was being more environmentally friendly every time I went.
